J Peter Boles – Singer / Songwriter / Storyteller

The Ojai Valley, CA. based singer/songwriter is redefining the traditions of the bards of old. Peter chronicles his life of travel and adventure with a poet’s touch.

Among his main influences are John Prine, Guy Clark, Doc Watson, Townes VanZandt, and the Delta blues men.

On his self-titled album, Peter takes the listener from a mountaintop bathed in Alaskan moonlight to the “Tides” of the California Pacific – the culmination of over 30 years on the road.

In his 30 years of performing, Peter has played clubs & concert venues from Anchorage to Austin, and from the Arctic Ocean to the Hawaiian Islands. He has warmed up crowds for George Thorogood, Commander Cody, Marshall Tucker Band, Billy C. Farlow, and the Texas Tornados. He has also appeared on main stage at Yosemite, CA’s Strawberry Music Festival, the Alaska & California State Fairs & many more venues.  He will appear again at Strawberry Music Festival in Tuolumne, CA. in the Fall.

Jim Monahan – CD Producer

For 35 years as a professional musician for his “day-&-night-job,” Jim has played venues ranging from the Monterey Jazz Festival to the Grand Old Opry. With a vast musical vocabulary, he plays his instruments upside down & backwards, which adds an indefinably unique flavor to his music. He has played concerts with Roger Miller, Kenny Loggins, & Jim Messina. He’s recorded with Jan & Dean, Paul Rogers, & Chris Hillman, to name a few. Jim played lead guitar with Hillman’s Desert Rose Band and later with Hillman & Herb Pederson.
